Draw Includes Four Past NCAA National Champions

Rhyne Williams picked as first LG&T Wildcard

The 2013 LG&T Challenger entry list includes four former NCAA champions, headlined by former Stanford standout Bradley Klahn. Klahn not only won the 2010 NCAA men’s single title, but also became the first-ever men’s qualifying wild card to win a round at the 2012 US Open.

The Main Draw features six of the top-200 players in the world and seven Americans in total that will fight for the top spot in the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit Event. Action begins on Saturday, July 13 with the qualifying round. From there, four players move on towards the main draw, where 32 singles players from over 12 different countries will compete for top honors beginning on Monday, July 15. In addition to the singles main draw, the 16-team doubles field will also be in action the following day, July 16.

Rhyne Williams recently was added by the LG&T Tennis Challenger as the first wildcard entry into the tournament. Williams, a former standout at the University of Tennessee, is currently ranked as the 129th best singles player in the world according the ATP. This marks the third time he has competed in Binghamton.
