Volunteering at the Challenger

Adult Volunteers

We looking for volunteers to help the team that puts on the LG&T Tennis Challenger. All shifts are three hours long and consist of working set up/clean up, ticket sales, food service, and/or VIP events. Drivers are also needed to transport the players from Recreation Park to their accommodations and back.

The Tournament Staff appreciates any and all help from volunteers, but we’re are most in need of people to help set things up in advance of the Tournament (beginning Monday, July 17th) and to help clean up and take things down on July 30th after the Championship matches conclude through August 2nd.

Those who commit to volunteering for multiple shifts will receive the following incentives:

  • 6 hours of volunteer time = tournament pass
  • 12 hours of volunteer time = tournament pass and a t-shirt
  • 24 hours of volunteer time = tournament pass, a t-shirt, and a hat

This is probably the best volunteering opportunity in Binghamton: Helping out, watching great tennis, & meeting up-and-coming professional tennis players at the same time! If you have a love for tennis and have never been to the LG&T Tennis Challenger before, you definitely need to come to the courts at Recreation Park and check it out. Why not volunteer? It’s lots of fun! Once you put in the time, you’ll want to come back every year.

If you are interested in volunteering and/or have questions, please contact Rebecca L. Stollman, Volunteer Coordinator at rlstollman@yahoo.com or (607) 765-2584.
